Marko mi ricorda un po’ il primo Ferruccio Lamborghini che, per il lancio delle sue attività (trattori, bruciatori, automobili) andava a prendere i progettisti dalla concorrenza.
Ovviamente offrendo condizioni economiche migliori di quelle in essere.

ROMAIN GROSJEAN GIVES F1 RETURN AT SPECIAL TEST WITH MERCEDES

Emotional return to Formula 1: Romain Grosjean will take the wheel of a Formula 1 car again next month for the first time since his dramatic accident at the Bahrain Grand Prix 2020. For this purpose, he takes a seat at the end of June at the Circuit Paul Ricard in the cockpit of a W10, Lewis Hamilton's world champion car from the 2019 season.

The whole world held its breath when Romain freed himself from the burning wreck of his Haas car last November. The 35-year-old was lucky enough to suffer only severe burns on his hands in the accident. Despite his brave attempts to recover in time for the last two races of the season, Romain was not allowed to participate in it. This seemed to end his Formula 1 career after 179 starts and ten podium places.

After the accident, however, Toto Wolff promised that the crash should not remain the last chapter in Romain's Formula 1 story. Toto kept his word and invited Romain on the 30th. March for a seat adjustment in the Mercedes F1 headquarters in Brackley, where the Frenchman also prepared in the simulator for a test specially organized for him. The test will take place on the 29th June on Romain's home route in Le Castellet - to the day exactly seven months after his accident. On Sunday, 27. June he will also complete some demo rounds as part of the French Grand Prix.

This season Romain will compete for Dale Coyne Racing with RWR in the IndyCar series. The Mercedes-AMG W10 EQ Power+, which Romain will drive in France, scored 15 victories, ten pole positions and nine fastest laps in the 2019 season. Lewis also won the driver's world championship by car and the team won the title in the constructor's ranking.

Romain Grosjean: "I am very much looking forward to getting back into an F1 car! This is a very special opportunity for me and it will be a unique experience to drive a world champion Mercedes.

I am very grateful to Mercedes F1 and Toto for this opportunity. The first time I learned about the possibility of driving a Mercedes, I was still in my hospital bed in Bahrain. Toto told the media about it at the time and invited me to a test in this context. Reading that annoyed me terribly!"

Toto Wolff: "We are very pleased to be able to make this special opportunity possible for Romain. The idea arose when it looked like Romain would end his active Formula 1 career and we didn't want this accident to be its last moment in an F1 car.

I have known Romain since his time in Formula 3, when he won the championship. He can look back on a long and successful F1 career and we wanted to make sure that his last memories arise in Formula 1 at the wheel of a world champion car. I'm curious to see what Romain's feedback on the W10 will be.

Romain's accident reminds us all of the dangers that these boys face every time they get into the cockpit. But it is also proof of the incredible progress our sport has made over the years in the field of safety. I know that the F1 community will be happy to see Romain on the track again.
